Homeopathy in Walthamstow, East London

I graduated in 1985 from the College of Homeopathy. I am a qualified east London Homeopath who has also practised in Covent Garden, Clapham and the NHS Clinic (in their complimentary health private clinic) for Imperial College, London University.

Homeopathy is a complimentary system of medicine which uses different substances diluted and shaken (potentised). Each remedy or medicine is chosen specifically for the individual - by 'case taking' to find out how a person is reacting (symptoms) to the world generally (weather, food, physical, mental, emotional reactions)and how their problem is presenting, in order to find the right remedy and potency for that person. For example, even if two people have the same named 'disease', PMS, they might need different prescriptions because they react to it differently.

Does Homeopathy work? Various scientific studies have been undertaken - and with promising results, for example, although one cannot claim legally to cure cancer, this was recently found:

Laboratory experiments have shown that some homeopathic medicines are toxic to
breast cancer cells (Frenkel,M,et.al. - 'Cytotoxic effects of ultra-diluted remedies on breast cancer cells' Int.J.Oncol.,2010;36:395-403).

Also, conditions for which the majority of clinical trial findings have been positive include:

Allergies and upper resp. tract infections
Bronchitis
Chronic Fatigue
Ear Infections
Osteoarthritis
PMS
Rheumatic diseases
Sinusitis
Vertigo

Homeopathy is a complimentary system of medicine, (so see 'about homeopathy' for information about a client's 'informed choice').

Briefly, Homeopathy is thought to work by stimulating the 'life force' to heal itself, when the correct homeopathic remedy or remedies have been given. It does not work through 'suggestive power' or by giving clients a sympathetic ear/more time to talk (although undoubtedly this must help people to feel more valued)...this may be shown through the successful treatment of animals by Homeopathic Vets...also some Farmers, the most practical of people, utilize homeopathy for their herdstock, for such things as mastitis, the birthing of lambs, infections, etc.

My homeopathic practice is now in Walthamstow, East London, within easy reach of central, north, north east and the City of London, for example, Oxford Circus, Gospel Oak, Essex, Liverpool Street, Wanstead, South Woodford, Newham, Stamford Hill, Tottenham, Hackney and Chingford in East London.

I am a homeopath who has particular interest in conditions such as menopause, infertility, phobias, grief, eating disorders, M.E., migraines, autism, hyper-activity/tantrums and the cessation of smoking,'stress', as well as many other acute and chronic conditions.

I also have some healing, counselling and nutritional advice training. Therefore eating patterns and options about diet could be looked at and supported. For example, as people get older, their bodies are less able to absorb certain vitamins or minerals and less calories may be required, so that a consideration of this can help with dietary choices.

As a registered Homeopath, the cost of treatment can be partly reimbursed if you belong to a private health organisation. If you require concessions, this is possible if you have proof of benefits.

I am a qualified teacher and teach homeopathic 'home' remedies classes here in east London - very useful for knowledge of simple remedies and simple acute health problems that may arise within the family, so that you may learn how to use these remedies yourself; for example, how Homeopathy may be of use for such things as coughs, colds, teething. Classes are starting again in September, so email me to save your place for a class!
